The Tech Interactive is conveniently located near the VTA Convention Center light rail and bus stops. From San Jose Diridon Station, you can take the VTA light rail (Green or Blue Line) to the Convention Center Station. The museum is a short walk from the station. A single VTA light rail or bus fare is typically $2.50.

From the San Jose Diridon Station, The Tech Interactive is approximately a 20-minute walk. Head east on Cahill Street, then turn left onto Market Street. Continue on Market Street until you reach The Tech Interactive on your right. From the heart of downtown San Jose, The Tech Interactive is easily accessible by foot. Follow signs towards Plaza de César Chávez; the museum is located on the plaza's edge.

If driving, several parking garages are available near The Tech Interactive. The Tech Interactive offers parking validation at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center Garage (150 W. San Carlos St.) and the 2nd and San Carlos Garage (288 S. 2nd St.). Bring your parking ticket to The Tech Interactive for validation, which will give you a discounted rate of $5 or less for the day. Standard hourly parking rates in downtown San Jose garages range from $2-$3 per hour.
