Peterson Urban Wildlife Refuge, the DEEC provides panoramic views, interactive exhibits, and access to a vibrant ecosystem.

Getting There

Walking
From the Riverfront Wilmington area, follow the Riverwalk south along the Christina River. The DEEC is located at the end of Delmarva Lane, approximately a 15-20 minute walk from the main Riverfront attractions. The path is paved and offers scenic views of the river and marsh. No costs involved.

Public Transport
DART First State buses serve the Riverfront area. From the Wilmington Transit Center, take a DART bus that stops near the Riverfront. From there, it's a short walk south on the Riverwalk to the DEEC. A one-way bus fare is $2. Check the DART website or app for schedules and routes.

Driving
From I-95, take the Martin Luther King Boulevard exit. Follow the signs for the Riverfront. Turn onto Justison Street, then right onto Shipyard Drive, which merges into Delmarva Lane. The DEEC will be on your right. Free parking is available at the DEEC. Expect to pay $10-$15 for daily parking in nearby downtown garages.
