Discover more about Chaddsford Winery

Chaddsford Winery, a cornerstone of Pennsylvania's wine scene, invites visitors to experience the art of winemaking in the picturesque Brandywine Valley. Founded in 1982, the winery has grown into one of the state's largest, producing over 24,000 cases annually. The winery is located in a restored 18th-century dairy barn, offering a rustic and inviting atmosphere for wine enthusiasts. Chaddsford Winery sources grapes from regional vineyards in Pennsylvania, New York, and Maryland, ensuring a diverse selection of varietals. All aspects of wine production, including pressing, fermenting, barrel-aging, and bottling, occur on-site within the historic barn's stone walls. The winery produces a wide range of wines, including Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and unique blends. Visitors can explore the winemaking process through self-guided tours and cellar tours. The main tasting room, with its warm wood accents and vineyard mural, provides a welcoming space to sample Chaddsford's offerings. Knowledgeable staff guide guests through tastings, catering to both novice and experienced palates. Seasonal events, such as live music, food pairings, and festivals, enhance the visitor experience. In September 2024, the Vinton family, owners of White Horse Winery in New Jersey, purchased Chaddsford Winery. With a commitment to approachability, community, and sustainability, Chaddsford continues to build upon its legacy in the Brandywine Valley.
