    From Douglas-Charles Airport (DOM), the most common way to reach 3 Rivers is by taxi. The journey takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. A taxi will cost around EC$220/US$85. Be sure to confirm the price before starting your journey and ensure the taxi has high clearance for the access road to the lodge, as some may leave you 1 km away on the main road. From Roseau Ferry Terminal, a taxi ride to 3 Rivers takes about 45 minutes and costs approximately EC$190/US$75. As with airport transfers, confirm the price beforehand and ensure the taxi can navigate the access road. After arriving at the lodge's access point, you'll need to cross two shallow rivers either by zipline or walking, followed by a short walk through a neighboring farm.

  • Public Transport

    For a more budget-friendly option from Roseau, take a public bus towards Grand Fond, Riviere Cyrique, La Plaine, or Delices. Buses leave from Kennedy Avenue, near Jays Bookstore. Tell the driver you are coming to 3 rivers eco lodge and they will drop you at the main road from where you will walk in down the road and across a small ravine. From the bus stop closest to 3 Rivers, you may need to walk or hitchhike the remaining distance to the lodge. From the Melville Hall airport, take any bus towards Roseau and change at the Pond Casse roundabout junction. From Pond Cassé roundabout follow the road straight down, direction Emerald pool, Castle Bruce and Rosalie, for about 20 minutes. After arriving at the lodge's access point, you'll need to cross two shallow rivers either by zipline or walking, followed by a short walk through a neighboring farm.

Founded by Jem Winston, who fell in love with Dominica in 1990, the lodge is committed to respecting its surroundings and the local community. The journey to the lodge is part of the adventure, often requiring a short walk through a neighboring farm and a crossing of two shallow rivers, adding excitement to your arrival. A zipline across the river is also an option. The accommodations at 3 Rivers are designed to blend seamlessly with the natural surroundings. Guests can choose from eco-friendly options including private cottages, shared dormitory-style hostel, and camping facilities. The lodge features a restaurant and bar, self-catering options, and a small on-site grocery store. Activities abound, with nature trails, river pools, and a zipline on-site. 3 Rivers is set in The Newfoundland Estate, which was itself formed on part of the old Rosalie Estate. The Rosalie Estate is situated on the East Coast, from Rosalie Bay, up the banks of the Rosalie River. It was one of the largest estates on the island, totaling 2,081 acres. The old Rosalie estate is an incredible area of Dominica to visit, with plenty of its history still visible. The ruins of an aqueduct and sugar works are still standing, and the site of the old estate house can be seen on the hill above the works, near the modern estate house.
