    If you are staying in the central area of Puerto Plata, start by heading towards the main avenue, Avenida Francisco Alberto Caamaño. From the Plaza Independencia, walk down Calle 12 de Julio towards Avenida 27 de Febrero. Turn left onto Avenida 27 de Febrero, then continue straight until you reach the intersection with Avenida Francisco Alberto Caamaño. Turn right onto Avenida Francisco Alberto Caamaño and continue walking for about 10-15 minutes. Macorix House of Rum will be on your left, just past the intersection with Calle El Tiro.

    Locate the nearest bus stop in Puerto Plata; many local buses run along Avenida 27 de Febrero. Board a bus heading towards the Isabel de Torres area. After about 10-15 minutes, request the driver to stop at the intersection of Avenida Francisco Alberto Caamaño. Once you get off, walk a short distance (about 5 minutes) down Avenida Francisco Alberto Caamaño towards the direction of the ocean. Macorix House of Rum will be on your left.
