    If you are driving from Santiago, take the Autopista Duarte (DR-1) heading north. Continue on this highway for about 90 kilometers until you reach Puerto Plata. Once in Puerto Plata, take the exit towards Calle Duarte. Follow Calle Duarte until you reach the intersection with Calle Emilio Prud'Homme. The Museo del Ámbar Dominicano will be on your left at Calle Duarte 59 con C. Emilio Prud'Homme.

    From Santiago, you can take a bus to Puerto Plata. Buses depart from the main bus terminal in Santiago and take approximately 2 hours to reach Puerto Plata.
