Car
If you're traveling by car, start from the city of Latacunga, which is the main gateway to Cotopaxi National Park. Drive east on the E35 highway for approximately 30 kilometers. You will see signs for Cotopaxi National Park. Once you reach the park entrance, pay the entrance fee (around $10 per person). Continue driving along the main park road until you reach the parking area near the Refugio Cotopaxi (Jose Ribas). The last part of the road is unpaved, so be cautious of road conditions.
Public Transportation
To reach Refugio Cotopaxi (Jose Ribas) using public transportation, you can take a bus from Latacunga to the entrance of Cotopaxi National Park.
