If you are starting from Plaza de la Independencia, head east on Avenida García Moreno. Continue walking for about 5 minutes until you reach the intersection with Calle Eugenio Espejo. Turn left onto Calle Eugenio Espejo and continue straight for another 3 minutes. The Catedral Metropolitana de Quito will be on your right.

If you are near the Central market, walk to the nearest Trolebus station, which is called 'La Marín'. Take the Trolebus heading towards 'El Labrador'. Get off at the stop 'Universidad Central'. From there, walk south along Avenida Patria for about 5 minutes, then turn left onto Calle Eugenio Espejo. The cathedral will be a short walk ahead on your right.
