Walking
Start at the Tartu Town Hall located at Raekoja plats 1. Head south on Raekoja plats towards Turu street. Continue straight until you reach the cross-section with Vabaduse pst. Turn left onto Vabaduse pst and walk straight for approximately 1 km. You will pass by several shops and cafes along the way. The Kalevipoeg – War of Independence Monument will be on your left, located in a small park by the river at Vabaduse pst 5.

Public Transport
From the Tartu Bus Station, take bus line 6 towards the University of Tartu. Get off at the Vabaduse pst stop, which is approximately a 10-minute ride. After exiting the bus, walk approximately 100 meters back along Vabaduse pst towards the city center. The Kalevipoeg – War of Independence Monument will be on your right in a small park at Vabaduse pst 5.
