The hike to Hvannhagi starts from Tvøroyri, Suðuroy. Begin at the hospital in Tvøroyri and walk up to Ovari Vegur. Continue left in the direction of Trongisvágur. After approximately 1.5 kilometers, you'll reach a gate leading to the outfield, marked with a 'Hvannhagi' sign. Follow the orange-colored posts along the path. The hike to Hvannhagi takes about 1-2 hours each way and is moderately challenging. Parking is available near the hospital.

To reach Tvøroyri, take the Smyril ferry from Tórshavn to Suðuroy. The ferry departs several times a day, and the journey takes approximately 2 hours. Check the current ferry schedule for updated departure times. A one-way passenger ticket costs around 100 DKK. Upon arrival in Suðuroy, you can take a local bus or taxi to the hospital in Tvøroyri, the starting point for the Hvannhagi hike.
