Car
From Tórshavn, the capital city, head northwest on Route 10. Continue for approximately 30 kilometers. Then follow Route 59 towards Vestmanna. Continue on Route 59 for about 12 km. When you reach Vestmanna, follow the signs to Route 60 towards Tjørnuvík. After about 20 km on Route 60, you will arrive in Tjørnuvík. Follow the signs towards the beach; parking is available near the beach area. Note that parking may incur a small fee.
Public Transport
From Tórshavn, take Bus 400 to Oyrarbakki. From Oyrarbakki, transfer to Bus 201, which goes directly to Tjørnuvík. The bus journey takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. From the Tjørnuvík bus stop, it is a short walk to the beach. Bus tickets are paid when boarding the bus. A multi-day travel card for public transport can be purchased for 500 DKK for four days.
Walking
If you are already in Tjørnuvík village, the beach is easily accessible on foot. From the village center, walk towards the coast following the signs to the beach. The walk should take about 10-15 minutes, offering scenic views along the way.
