    To reach Saksun, driving is the most common option. From Tórshavn, the capital, the drive is approximately 50 minutes. Head north on Route 10 towards Hvalvík. From Hvalvík, turn west onto the single-lane road leading to Saksun. The drive through Saksunardalur valley is scenic, but requires caution due to its narrowness. There is a parking lot near the church in Saksun. Parking is free. Be aware that the road is single-lane with pull-in points.

    While public transport to Saksun is limited, buses connect Tórshavn to Hvalvík. From Hvalvík, the remaining 7km to Saksun must be covered by taxi or by foot. A taxi from Hvalvík to Saksun will cost approximately 200-300 DKK. Walking from Hvalvík to Saksun along the road will take over an hour.
