  • Public Transport

    To reach Tjørnuvík Kirkja via public transport from Tórshavn, take bus 400 to Oyrarbakki. From Oyrarbakki, transfer to bus 201, which goes directly to Tjørnuvík. The bus journey from Oyrarbakki to Tjørnuvík takes approximately 38 minutes. Once in Tjørnuvík, the church is located at 17 Teigagøta. Note that bus 201 operates only on weekdays with limited frequency. A single fare on the bus costs approximately 30 DKK.

    Driving to Tjørnuvík Kirkja from Tórshavn takes approximately 50 minutes. Follow Route 10 north from Tórshavn, then continue onto Route 594 to Tjørnuvík. Be aware that the road to Tjørnuvík is narrow and winding. Parking is available at the entrance to the village. During the peak season (July and August), parking in Tjørnuvík is reserved for residents, but a free park and ride shuttle service operates from Haldórsvík between 10:00 and 17:00. The Eysturoyartunnilin tunnel is an alternative route, but it involves a toll.
