Getting There

  • Walking

    From the village of Miðvágur, head towards the church. Turn left on the road just after the church and continue for a few hundred meters. Then, turn right and continue until you reach the gate to the outfield. The walking path begins at the outfield gate. Follow the path, noting the collapsed peat stores of stone. The hike to Bøsdalafossur is approximately 3 kilometers and should take about 45 minutes. Hiking in this area requires payment of a hiking fee of DKK 450 per adult.

  • Public Transport

    From Tórshavn, take bus line 300 towards the airport. The bus departs every four hours and the journey to Sandavágur takes approximately 40 minutes. A one-way ticket costs 90 DKK. From the Sandavágur bus stop, you can walk to the trailhead, which is about 1.5 kilometers away. Alternatively, you can take a taxi to the trailhead. A 5km taxi ride in Sandavágur costs about 75 DKK. From the trailhead, follow the marked path to Bøsdalafossur Waterfall.
