The Åland Maritime Museum is located at 2 Hamngatan in Mariehamn, near the western harbor. From the town center, it's an easy walk along Storagatan, approximately 1 km. Follow the signs towards the western harbor; the museum's ship-like building is easily recognizable.

Local buses in Mariehamn, such as those operated by Röde Orm, provide access to the museum. Check the local bus routes for the nearest stop to Hamngatan. A single ticket costs €2.50 and is valid for two hours. Note that in the summer, tourist trains may partially replace the buses.

If driving, follow the main road into Mariehamn and then signs to the city center. Turn left onto Hamngatan. Parking is free in Mariehamn, but time restrictions may apply (usually 2-4 hours). Use a parking disc, available at gas stations and stores. There are disabled parking spaces available in front of the terminal.
