Car
From Highway 5 (E63), turn east at Peranka onto Selkoskyläntie (9190). Continue for 25 km, then turn left onto Hossantie (843) and drive 8 km to Hossa Nature Centre, following signs. From Jatkosalmentie, drive 700 meters to the nature center. Parking is available on-site.
Public Transport
Take a bus from Kuusamo or Kajaani to Suomussalmi. From the Suomussalmi bus station, take a taxi to Hossa Visitor Centre, approximately 25 km away. Taxi fare is around 50-70 euros. Alternatively, during school holidays, a bus may run to Hossa Holiday Centre, 6 km from the visitor center. From there, you can walk 4-6 km to the center.
Walking
If you are already in Hossa National Park, follow the marked trails towards Hossan luontokeskus. From the nearest trailhead, it is about a 2 km walk on well-maintained paths. Use a map or GPS to ensure you are on the right track.
