Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey in Oulu city center. Head southeast on Asemakatu towards Oulu-Kemi road (Route 4). Continue for about 5 kilometers, following the signs for Nallikari. Turn onto Nallikarinranta road, which will lead you directly to the Nallikari area. Follow the road until you reach the parking area near the beach and the lighthouse. Parking is available, but there may be a fee depending on the season.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, you can take bus line 14 from Oulu city center towards Nallikari. The bus departs from the main bus station at Oulu and will take you directly to Nallikari beach. The journey takes approximately 20 minutes. Once you arrive at Nallikari, you will have a short walk of about 10 minutes to reach Nallikari Lighthouse, following the coastal path. Ensure to check the latest bus schedules as they may vary.
Walking
If you are already in the Nallikari area, walking to Nallikari Lighthouse is a pleasant option. From the Nallikari beach parking area, walk towards the beach promenade. Follow the signs leading towards the lighthouse, which is approximately a 1-kilometer walk along the waterfront. The path is well-marked and offers beautiful views of the coastline.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, Nallikari is bike-friendly. You can rent a bicycle in Oulu and ride towards Nallikari. The bike route follows the same path as the car route and takes about 20-30 minutes. Once you arrive, park your bicycle at the designated bike racks near the lighthouse.
