If you are at the Annecy train station (Gare d'Annecy), start by exiting the station and heading towards Avenue de la République. Walk straight for about 500 meters until you reach the main square, Place de la Gare. From there, turn left onto Rue du Pont des Amours, which will lead you to the picturesque Lake Annecy. Continue walking along the lakefront until you reach the Parc Charles Bosson. Follow the path around the park and veer right onto Rue de la Préfecture, which will take you towards the old town.
