The Abbatiale Saint-Austremoine in Issoire stands as a testament to the grandeur of Romanesque art in the Auvergne region. Constructed in the 12th century, around 1130, this abbey church is dedicated to Saint Austremoine, the first bishop of Clermont and evangelizer of Auvergne in the late 3rd century.
