Murol Castle, or Château de Murol, is a magnificent medieval fortress dramatically perched above the village of Murol in the Puy-de-Dôme department of Auvergne, France. Jean d'Estaing later added a Renaissance pavilion, blending medieval strength with Renaissance elegance.
