Walking
The Château de Villerouge-Termenès is located in the village of Villerouge-Termenès, making it easily accessible on foot from most points within the village. From the center of the village, follow the signs for the Château. The walk is short and straightforward, taking you through the village streets to the castle entrance.
Public Transport
To reach Château de Villerouge-Termenès by public transportation, take a train from Carcassonne to Limoux. Trains run regularly, and the journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Limoux, you can catch a regional bus (Ligne 1) that goes to Villerouge-Termenès. Be sure to check the bus schedule in advance, as services may be limited, especially on weekends. The bus will drop you off close to the village, and it is just a short walk to the castle. Bus fare from Limoux to Villerouge-Termenès is approximately €3.
Car
If driving, the Château de Villerouge-Termenès is located at Carrièra del Castel, 11330 Villerouge-Termenès. From Carcassonne, take the D611 towards Limoux. Continue on the D611 until you reach the D118. Turn left onto the D118 and follow the signs towards Villerouge-Termenès. The castle will be visible as you approach the village. Free parking is available at the Winegrower's Cooperative, a short walk from the castle. Be careful crossing the road from the parking area. Parking for camper vans is available at Parking cave coopérative, Rota del Termnès.
