    To reach the GR 440 using public transport, take a train to Uzerche, Lacelle, or Bugeat. From these stations, a 'transport à la demande' (on-demand transport) service may be available to Treignac or other points on the GR 440. Contact CFTA at 05 55 20 04 17 for information on regular lines and school transport. The on-demand transport can be booked by calling 0800 730 146 or 05 55 17 91 19. Bus fare to Treignac costs about €1.80 - €2.60.

    To reach Treignac by car, use the A20 highway (exit 44 from Paris or exit 45 from Toulouse) or the A89 highway (exit 22 from Lyon). Free parking is available in Treignac. From Treignac, follow local roads to access various points along the GR 440. Be aware that some sections of the trail may be more easily accessed from other towns along the route.
