Travel Guide to Place Vendôme

Getting There

• Metro

  To reach Place Vendôme via the Paris Metro, board Line 1 (the yellow line) at any station. If you are starting from the Louvre area, you can catch the Metro at Palais Royal - Musée du Louvre. Travel toward La Défense and alight at the next stop, which is 'Concorde'. Once you exit the train, follow the signs to the Concorde exit. When you arrive at the street level, you will see the Place de la Concorde in front of you. From there, walk north along Rue de Rivoli for about 300 meters until you reach the end of the street. Turn right onto the Rue de Castiglione, and continue straight until you reach Place Vendôme, which will be on your left.

• Bus

  If you prefer to take the bus, you can catch Bus 42 or Bus 73. For example, if you are near the Palais Garnier (the Opéra House), you can board Bus 42 at 'Opéra - Garnier' bus stop. Stay on the bus for about 10 minutes and get off at 'Place Vendôme'. The iconic square will be just a short walk from the bus stop.

• Walking

  If you are close to the Tuileries Garden, you can enjoy a pleasant walk to Place Vendôme. Start at the entrance of the Tuileries Garden near the Louvre. Walk through the garden towards the Place de la Concorde. Once you reach the Place de la Concorde, head north along Rue de Rivoli for about 300 meters. When you reach Rue de Castiglione, turn right and continue walking straight until you see Place Vendôme on your left.

• Taxi or Rideshare

  For a more direct route, consider taking a taxi or using a rideshare service like Uber. Simply enter 'Place Vendôme, 75001 Paris' as your destination in the app. This option is convenient, especially if you are traveling with luggage or in a group. The driver will take you directly to the square.
