From the heart of the Latin Quarter, head north on Rue Saint-Jacques towards Boulevard Saint-Michel. Continue straight until you reach the Latin Quarter's eastern edge. Once you reach the intersection with Boulevard de l'Observatoire, take a left onto Boulevard de l'Observatoire. Walk straight for about 10 minutes until you reach the Seine River. Cross the river via the Pont Saint-Michel. After crossing the bridge, continue straight until you reach Île de la Cité. The Memorial to The Massacre of October 17th, 1961 is located on the eastern side of the island, near the square, just a short walk from the Notre Dame Cathedral.

Public Transport
From the Latin Quarter, locate the nearest metro station, which is usually the 'Luxembourg' station on Line RER B. Board the train heading towards 'Robinson' or 'Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse'. Get off at the 'Châtelet-Les Halles' station. Once you exit the station, follow the signs to the RER A line and transfer to the 'Châtelet-Les Halles' for Line 4 in the direction of 'Porte de Clignancourt'. Get off at 'Cité' station. From there, exit the station and walk towards Île de la Cité. The memorial will be a short walk ahead on the island.
