If you are starting from the Saint-Malo train station (Gare de Saint-Malo), exit the station and head southeast on Rue de la Gare. Continue straight for about 600 meters until you reach the junction with Rue du Général de Gaulle. Turn right onto Rue du Général de Gaulle and walk towards the coast. When you reach the promenade along the sea, turn left and follow the path along the beach, enjoying the views. Continue until you arrive at the fortified city walls (Les Remparts). Follow the walls to the right until you reach the Porte de Dinan, the main entrance to the old town. Enter through the gate and walk straight, passing shops and cafes. Continue straight to Place Chateaubriand, then take Rue de l'Orme to the left. Finally, turn right onto Rue d'Orléans, and you will find St. Louis Bastion at 1 Rue d'Orléans.
