From the Sofitel Ia Ora Moorea Beach Resort, the Toatea Lookout is a short uphill walk. Follow the road north of the resort; the lookout point will be on your right. The walk is steep but manageable, taking approximately 10-15 minutes. There are no costs involved.

Taxis are available from the ferry terminal or airport. A taxi from the ferry terminal to Toatea Lookout will cost approximately 2,000 XPF (around $20 USD) during the day. Ensure the driver uses the meter or negotiate the fare beforehand.

Rental Car/Scooter
If you have rented a car or scooter, follow the main coastal road north from the Vaiare ferry terminal. The lookout is approximately 3.5 kilometers from the ferry dock. Parking is available near Toatea Lookout and is typically free. Rental cars can cost between 7,000-10,000 XPF per day. Scooter rentals can cost around 5,000 XPF for 4 hours or 6,000 XPF for 24 hours.
