Walking
From the center of Mtskheta, start at the main square near the Svetitskhoveli Cathedral. Head south on Agmashenebeli Street towards the river. Continue walking straight until you reach the crossroads. At the crossroads, turn left onto the road that leads to the Jvari Monastery. Follow this road for about 2 kilometers. You will pass through a residential area and enjoy views of the surrounding hills. Keep an eye out for a sign pointing towards Shiomgvime Monastery. As you approach the monastery, you will see a path leading up to the entrance on your right. Follow the path up to the monastery, which is situated on a hillside.

Public Transport (minibus)
From Mtskheta, head to the minibus station located near the main square. Look for a minibus heading towards Dzegvi or Jvari. The fare is quite affordable (usually around 1 GEL).
