Continue on E117 for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the town of Oni. Once in Oni, follow the signs towards the village of Ghebi. The final stretch to Gona involves taking local roads, so ensure your vehicle is suitable for rural driving. Navigate through Ghebi village, and use GPS coordinates (42.7989106, 43.5443388) to reach Gona directly, which is around 6 kilometers from Ghebi. Be prepared for some unpaved roads and watch for local signage.

• Public Transportation

  If you prefer public transportation, begin your journey at the Ambrolauri bus station. Take a marshrutka (minibus) heading towards Oni. This ride will take about 30-40 minutes, and the fare is generally around 5 GEL. Upon arriving in Oni, you can catch another marshrutka that goes to Ghebi. This leg of the journey may take an additional 20 minutes, costing another 5 GEL. Once you arrive in Ghebi, you will need to arrange for a taxi or local transport as there may not be a direct bus to Gona. It is advisable to ask locals for a taxi and agree on a fare beforehand, which can range from 10 to 20 GEL depending on the distance and negotiation.

  For the adventurous traveler, consider hiking from Ghebi to Gona. This option is ideal for those who enjoy nature and want to experience the stunning landscapes of Racha-Lechkhumi. Start your hike from the village center of Ghebi, and follow the marked trails leading towards Gona. The trek is approximately 6 kilometers and will take around 1.5 to 2 hours. Make sure to wear appropriate hiking gear, carry enough water, and check local weather conditions before you set out. It's also recommended to inform locals or fellow hikers about your plans for safety.
