The most practical way to reach the Khvamli Mountain trailhead is by car. From Kutaisi, follow the Kutaisi-Tskaltubo-Tsageri-Lentekhi-Lasdili Road for approximately 55 kilometers (75 minutes). Then, ascend the mountain for another 30-40 minutes to reach the marked parking area. A taxi from Kutaisi can cost around 150 GEL. Expect to pay around 70 GEL one-way or slightly more than double that for a round-trip, including wait time while you do the hike.

Public Transport
While not ideal, you can take a marshrutka (minivan) from Kutaisi's Central Bus Station on Chavchavadze Avenue towards Tsageri. These depart three times a day at 11am, 2pm, and 4pm, with a ticket costing 10 GEL. Ask the driver to let you off at the turn-off for the Khvamli road.
