Start your journey at the Rustaveli Metro Station, which is centrally located in Tbilisi. Take the metro towards Akhmeteli - Vazha-Pshavela and get off at the Avlabari Station. From there, exit the station and head towards the Mtkvari River. Cross the river using the bridge that leads you to the other side. Once across, continue straight until you reach the intersection with Kote Afkhazi Street. Turn right onto Kote Afkhazi Street and walk up to the next major intersection. Turn left onto Kharfukhi Turn. Continue walking until you see the signs for Tabor Monastery of the Transfiguration, which will be on your left.

If you are already in the Old Town of Tbilisi, you can walk to Tabor Monastery of the Transfiguration. Start at the famous Narikala Fortress. From the fortress, head downhill towards the Abanotubani district, famous for its sulfur baths. Once you reach the bottom, walk along the riverbank towards the east until you reach the Kharfukhi Turn. Turn right onto Kharfukhi Turn and continue walking straight until you arrive at the monastery. The walk will take approximately 30 minutes and offers scenic views of the city.
