This popular tourist attraction showcases the city's beauty against a backdrop of stunning mountains. Originally, plans were made at the turn of the century to construct an 'Upper Tbilisi' high on the plateau. In 1905, a 500-meter-long funicular railway, designed by Belgian engineer Alphonse Roby, was launched to connect these two areas. Upon arrival, expansive views of Tbilisi unfold, highlighting its architecture and the Kura River. The viewpoint is ideal for photography, couples, and families.
