Getting There

  • Car

    From Uplistsikhe, head southeast on the main road (E117) towards Tbilisi. After about 10 km, take the exit toward Mtskheta. Continue straight for approximately 8 km until you reach the intersection with the Tbilisi-Kutaisi highway (E60). Turn left onto E60 and follow the signs toward Tbilisi. After about 22 km, take the exit for Algeti National Park, which is well-marked. Follow the local roads for about 5 km until you arrive at the entrance of the park. Note that parking may have a small fee.

    From Uplistsikhe, you can take a minibus (marshrutka) heading to Tbilisi from the local bus station. The trip takes about 30 minutes. Once in Tbilisi, head to the Didube bus station and catch a marshrutka that goes to Algeti National Park. Make sure to confirm with the driver that the route goes to the park. The ride may take about 1-1.5 hours. Be prepared for a small fee of 1-2 GEL for the marshrutka.
