Travel Guide to Rostock Altstadt

Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving, take the A19 motorway towards Rostock. Exit at 'Rostock-West' and follow the signs for 'Zentrum' (City Center). Merge onto B105, which will take you directly into the center of Rostock. Once you approach Rostock Altstadt, you can park at one of the nearby parking garages, such as 'Parkhaus am KTC' or 'Parkhaus Kröpeliner Tor Center'. From there, it's a short walk to Rungestraße 79-78.

• Train

  If you're using public transportation, the best option is to take a train to Rostock Hauptbahnhof (main station). Trains run frequently from various locations along the Baltic Sea Coast. Once you arrive at Rostock Hauptbahnhof, exit the station and take tram line 1 or 5 towards 'Rostock Stadtzentrum'. Get off at the 'Kröpeliner Tor' stop. From there, it's a 10-minute walk to Rostock Altstadt, following Rungestraße to reach Rungestraße 79-78.

• Bus

  You may also take a regional bus to Rostock. Check the local bus schedules for routes heading to Rostock. Upon arrival at the Rostock bus station, walk towards the city center and catch tram line 1 or 5 from the nearest tram stop. Alight at 'Kröpeliner Tor' and walk to Rungestraße 79-78, which is about a 10-minute walk. Be sure to have some change for bus fares, which can vary.

• Bicycle

  For the more adventurous, consider cycling to Rostock Altstadt. Many bike paths connect various points along the Baltic Sea Coast to the city. Once you arrive in Rostock, follow bicycle signage towards the city center. Secure bike parking is available near Rungestraße 79-78.
