Public Transport
If you are in central Cologne, you can take the U-Bahn (subway) to reach Der Pegelturm. Head to the nearest U-Bahn station, which could be Neumarkt or Heumarkt. From Neumarkt, board the U-Bahn line 5 in the direction of Bonn. If you are starting from Heumarkt, take line 16 or 18 towards the direction of Sülz or Kölner Dom. Disembark at the stop 'Kölner Dom' (Cologne Cathedral). Upon exiting the station, follow signs for the Cathedral, and once you are outside, you will see the magnificent structure in front of you. Walk along the left side of the Cathedral towards the Rhine River. Continue walking until you reach the Frankenwerft promenade. Der Pegelturm will be on your left at Frankenwerft 3.

If you are already in the vicinity of the Cologne Cathedral, simply walk towards the Rhine River. From the Cathedral, head west on Trankgasse, then turn left onto Am Hof. Continue straight until you reach the riverbank. Once you arrive at the Rhine, turn right and walk along the promenade. You will eventually see Der Pegelturm at Frankenwerft 3, just a short walk along the river.
