Getting There

  • Tram

    If you're starting from Dresden Hauptbahnhof (the main train station), take tram line 3 or 7. Catch the tram from the station's tram stop, which is located just outside the main entrance. Make sure to validate your ticket before boarding. Ride the tram for about 6 minutes and get off at the 'Postplatz' stop. From there, it's a short 5-minute walk to the Palace of Culture. Head towards the direction of the 'Kulturpalast' signs, walking down Wilsdruffer Straße until you reach Schloßstraße. The Palace of Culture will be on your left at Schloßstraße 2.

  • Bus

    From the same starting point at Dresden Hauptbahnhof, you can also take bus line 94 or 100. Board the bus at the designated stop outside the train station. The journey will take approximately 5 minutes. Get off at 'Postplatz' and walk towards the Palace of Culture as described above, following the signs to Schloßstraße.

  • Walking

    If you prefer to walk from the Dresden Hauptbahnhof, it takes about 20 minutes. Exit the station and head south on Wilsdruffer Straße. Continue straight until you reach Postplatz, where you'll see the impressive Semper Opera House. From there, take a left onto Schloßstraße and walk for a few minutes. The Palace of Culture will be on your right at Schloßstraße 2.
