Public Transport
From Hanover, take the S-Bahn (S5) to Hannover Hbf. Then, take a regional train (RE2 or RB77) to Nordstemmen. From Nordstemmen station, you can either walk approximately 3 km uphill to the castle (around 40 minutes) or take the 'Schloss Marienburg Express' bus, which operates on weekends and public holidays from 10:00 to 18:00. A round trip on the bus costs €6.00 for adults and €3.50 for children. A family ticket is available for €18.00.

From Hanover, take the B3 south or the A7 south and exit at Hildesheim (Exit 62). Follow the B1 towards Hameln for approximately 7 km until you reach Mahlerten. Turn right towards Nordstemmen and follow the signs to Marienburg Castle. Free parking is available about 200 meters from the castle. Be aware that parking can be limited during peak season.
