Walking
If you are starting from the Nuremberg Hauptbahnhof (main train station), exit the station and head towards the pedestrian zone by taking the main exit. Once outside, turn left and walk down Bahnhofstraße. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Königstraße. Turn right onto Königstraße and follow this street for about 600 meters until you reach the Hauptmarkt, which will be on your left. Look for the iconic Frauenkirche (Church of Our Lady) as a landmark, as it is located right in the Hauptmarkt.

Tram
From Nuremberg Hauptbahnhof, take tram line U1 (blue line) towards Langwasser Süd. Get off at the 'Lorenzkirche' stop, which is approximately a 5-minute ride. Once you exit the tram, walk straight towards the church (Lorenzkirche) and then turn left onto the pedestrian street 'Karolinenstraße.' Continue walking straight until you arrive at Hauptmarkt, where you will see the impressive Frauenkirche.

If you're near the Nuremberg Castle (Nürnberger Burg), you can catch bus line 36 from the 'Burg' bus stop. Ride the bus for 2 stops and get off at 'Hauptmarkt.' This will bring you right into the heart of the square, where you can explore the area and see the famous Christmas market if you are visiting in winter.

If you are renting a bicycle, head towards the city center by following the designated bike lanes. From the Castle, ride down Burgstraße and take a right onto Spitalgasse. Continue straight; you will eventually reach the Hauptmarkt. There are bike racks available around the square for parking.
