Getting There

    If you are starting from Nuremberg's main train station (Hauptbahnhof), exit the station and head towards Bahnhofstraße. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Königstraße. Turn left onto Königstraße, which is a pedestrian-friendly area filled with shops and cafes. Walk along Königstraße for about 10 minutes until you reach the entrance of the beautiful Nuremberg Castle (Nürnberger Burg) on your left. From the castle, continue down the steps and turn right onto Bergstraße. Keep walking straight until you reach the river Pegnitz. You will see Maxbrücke (Max Bridge) ahead. It should take approximately 20 minutes in total.

    From Nuremberg's main train station (Hauptbahnhof), take the U-Bahn (subway) line U2 towards Röthenbach. Get off at the stop 'Plärrer' (it’s only one stop away). From Plärrer, transfer to tram line 8 towards 'Doku-Zentrum' and get off at the stop 'Maxbrücke.' This journey will take around 15 minutes. Once you step off the tram, Maxbrücke will be just a short walk ahead. Follow the signs towards the river to reach the bridge.

    If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the bike-sharing services available in the city. Start from the main train station (Hauptbahnhof) and head east on Bahnhofstraße. After approximately 800 meters, turn left onto Königstraße. Continue straight for about 2 kilometers until you reach the river Pegnitz. Turn left to follow the river path, and Maxbrücke will be on your right side after a few minutes. The entire biking route will take around 15-20 minutes, depending on your speed.
