Walking
If you are starting from the central market square (Marktplatz) in Rothenburg ob der Tauber, head north toward the Rathaus (Town Hall). From the Rathaus, take the exit on the right side and walk towards Schrannenplatz. Continue walking straight for about 200 meters until you reach Schrannenplatz. Aufgang zur Stadtmauer is located at Schrannenpl. 12. Look for the entrance that leads up to the city wall.

If you are near the Rothenburg ob der Tauber train station, exit the station and walk east on Bahnhofstraße. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Herrngasse. Turn left onto Herrngasse and walk north until you reach the Marktplatz. From there, follow the directions to Aufgang zur Stadtmauer as outlined above.

If you are at the Medieval Crime Museum (Mittelalterliches Kriminalmuseum), exit the museum and head towards the main road, Burggasse. Walk south on Burggasse for about 300 meters until you reach the intersection with Schrannenplatz. Turn right onto Schrannenplatz, and Aufgang zur Stadtmauer will be on your left at Schrannenpl. 12.
