    From Plaza de España, the main square in Casares, follow the winding, narrow streets uphill towards the highest point of the village. The walk to Castillo de Casares is steep but rewarding, offering glimpses of the whitewashed houses and colorful patios along the way. The entrance to the castle is free and open 24 hours.

  • Public Transport

    If arriving by bus (L-77), disembark at the Casares bus stop. From there, it's approximately a 7-minute walk uphill to the castle. Follow the signs towards the village center and then continue uphill towards the castle ruins. A single bus fare from Estepona to Casares is approximately €2-3.

  • Parking

    Parking within Casares is limited due to the narrow streets. It's best to park outside the village and walk. Free parking is available on the road leading into the village (MA-8300). Alternatively, there's a multi-story car park at the bottom of the hill with an elevator to the village entrance. Parking here is also free.
