Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Old Town of Chania, make your way to the central square, known as 'Eleftherios Venizelos Square.' From the square, head south on 'Kondilaki' street until you reach the waterfront promenade. Turn left and continue walking along the waterfront until you reach the 'Venetian Harbor.' Keep walking past the harbor until you see a large archway leading into the 'Splantzia' neighborhood. Pass through the archway, and continue straight until you hit 'Staratigoy Tzanakaki' street. Turn right onto 'Staratigoy Tzanakaki' and walk about 500 meters. The Chania Municipal Garden will be on your left.

    If you are staying near the Chania Archaeological Museum, exit the museum and head southwest on 'Halidon' street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with 'Sofokli Venizelou.' Turn left at the intersection and walk for about 300 meters until you reach 'Staratigoy Tzanakaki' street. Turn right onto 'Staratigoy Tzanakaki' and walk for approximately 200 meters. The Chania Municipal Garden will be on your right.

    From Chania's central bus station, exit the station and walk towards '1866 Square.' Once at the square, head towards the 'Agora' (Old Market) and then proceed to 'Kondilaki' street. Follow 'Kondilaki' street until you arrive at the waterfront promenade. Turn left and walk along the promenade towards the 'Venetian Harbor.' After passing the harbor, turn right through the archway into 'Splantzia.' Continue straight until you reach 'Staratigoy Tzanakaki' street. Turn right, and the Chania Municipal Garden will be on your left after about 500 meters.
