From Chania, head to the main bus station, which is located at 1866 Square. There, you can catch a KTEL bus to Vamos. Check the schedule for the next available bus, as they run regularly. The journey to Vamos will take about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Vamos, you will need to walk to Kalamato cave.

Walking
After getting off at Vamos, head northeast on the main road (Epar.Od. Vamos - Kalivon) for approximately 1.5 kilometers. You will see signs for Kalamato cave along the way. Continue straight until you reach a fork in the road, and take the left path. Follow this path for another 500 meters, and you will arrive at the entrance of Kalamato cave.

Taxi
Alternatively, from the Vamos bus station, you can also take a taxi to Kalamato cave. This will be a quicker option, taking around 10-15 minutes. Make sure to ask the driver to take you to Kalamato cave on Unnamed Road, Apokoronos, as it is not a well-known destination.
