If you are traveling by car, start from Alexandroupoli, the nearest major city. Head northwest on E90 for approximately 45 kilometers towards Samothraki. Once you reach the port of Kamariotissa, you will need to take a ferry to the island of Samothraki, which takes about 30 minutes. The ferry runs regularly, but it is advisable to check the schedule in advance. Upon arriving at Kamariotissa, follow the signs towards Chora (the main town) and then take the road leading to the Lagoon of Agios Andreas. The lagoon is located on an unnamed road approximately 15 kilometers from Chora. Look for signs as you get closer to the lagoon.

For those relying on public transportation, take a bus from Alexandroupoli to Kamariotissa. Buses are available several times a day, and the journey takes about 1.5 to 2 hours, costing around €10. Upon arrival at Kamariotissa, take the ferry to Samothraki. Once on the island, you can either rent a car or use local taxis to reach the Lagoon of Agios Andreas. Taxis may cost around €30-€40 for the trip to the lagoon, which is about a 20-minute drive from Kamariotissa.
