Getting There

• Bus

  From the center of Heraklion, head to the local bus station (KTEL Heraklion). Look for the buses heading towards Hersonissos. It’s about a 30-minute ride. Get on the bus labeled for Hersonissos, and make sure to confirm with the driver that they stop at Limenas Chersonisou. The bus will take you directly to the town, and you should get off at the main bus stop. From there, Paralia Limena Chersonisou is just a short walk away, approximately 10 minutes. Head towards the coast, and you'll soon see the beach.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from anywhere in Heraklion. Simply hail a taxi or call a local taxi service. Provide the driver with the destination: 'Paralia Limena Chersonisou, Limenas Chersonisou'. The ride will take about 25 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you arrive, the beach is easily accessible.

• Walking

  If you're staying in a hotel near the center of Heraklion and feel adventurous, you can walk to the beach. Start at the center of Heraklion and head northeast towards the coast, following signs for Hersonissos. This will take you along the main road, which can be busy, but it’s scenic. The total walking distance is about 25 kilometers, so it’s a long journey, and you should plan accordingly with plenty of water and sun protection. Alternatively, you can walk to the nearest bus station and take the bus for a shorter journey.
