Walking
If you are starting from Heraklion's Archaeological Museum, head south on Xanthoudidou Street towards the intersection with 25th August Street. At the intersection, turn left onto 25th August Street. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Eleftherias Square, where you will find Plateia Eleftherias. The square is located just beyond the intersection; look for the large open area and any signage indicating the square.

From the Heraklion Port, exit the terminal and follow the waterfront promenade. Walk east along the coast until you reach the roundabout at the end of the promenade. From the roundabout, take the first exit onto 25th August Street and walk straight for about 1 kilometer. You will soon see Plateia Eleftherias on your right, just past the intersection with Eleftherias Square.
