Ferry
To reach Saint George Bay in Ano Symi, start by taking a ferry from Rhodes Town. Head to the Mandraki Harbor, which is located near the city center. You can purchase your ticket from the kiosks at the harbor. Ferries to Symi operate several times a day. Once you board, enjoy the scenic ride, which will take approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. Disembark at the Symi Harbor.
Walking
After arriving at Symi Harbor, walk towards the main road directly from the ferry terminal. Turn left and follow the road as it winds up the hill past the beautiful neoclassical buildings and shops. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer, enjoying the views of the harbor. Look for signs directing you towards Saint George Bay. You will eventually come to a fork; take the right path that leads down towards the bay. The beach will be a short walk from there.
Local Bus or Taxi
If you prefer not to walk, you can also take a local bus or a taxi from the Symi Harbor to Saint George Bay. Local buses are available, but schedules may vary, so check with the information desk at the harbor for the latest times. Taxis are readily available and will take you directly to the beach, which is approximately a 10-minute drive from the harbor.
