Cetti Bay Overlook provides stunning views of Cetti Bay and the surrounding landscape, offering a glimpse into Guam's volcanic origins. The area is part of Guam's Territorial Seashore Park, protecting the island's natural beauty and historical significance. From the overlook, you can see the twin hills of Attelong Acho, also known as Black Rock, which are examples of pillow lava formed during ancient underwater volcanic eruptions. Looking south, Cocos Island (Dano) is visible off the coast of Malesso'/Merizo village.The coastal area around Cetti Bay has been inhabited by Chamorros for approximately 3,000 years. Latte stones and pottery shards provide evidence of this long history. The Spanish later created a road system that followed the coastline from Hagatna, south through Cetti Bay to Umatac. Cetti Bay is listed on both the Guam and National Registers of Historic Places.While reaching Cetti Bay directly by foot can be challenging, involving hikes along the shore from Humåtak or Sella Bay with considerable climbing, the overlook itself is easily accessible. The slopes are covered with grassland, savanna, coconut trees, and a ravine forest that hides Cetti Falls.
