Getting There

  • Public Transport

    To reach Fouha Point via public transport, catch the Guam Regional Transit Authority (GRTA) bus from Dededo heading south towards the villages in southern Guam. The bus ride to Humåtak takes approximately 30-40 minutes. From Humåtak, Fouha Point is about a 0.6-mile walk southwest. Follow the signs or ask locals for directions. GRTA bus fare is $1.50 per ride.

  • Walking

    If you are already in Umatac Bay, a scenic walking route will take you to Fouha Point. Head south on Route 4 for about 1.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Route 2. From there, walk towards the intersection where you will find signs for Fouha Point. The walk is approximately 2 miles, so wear comfortable shoes. There are no costs involved.

  • Taxi

    From anywhere in Guam, you can take a taxi to the Guam Power Authority substation WBP-2, located just north of Umatac Bay, which marks the start of the trail to Fouha Rock. The trail is to the left of the substation. Taxi fares have a standard flag rate of $2.40, $4.00 for the first mile, and $0.80 every ¼ mile thereafter. The cost will vary depending on your starting point.

The hike to the rock is relatively easy, winding through grassy hills and clusters of coconut and banana trees before descending to the secluded bay. The trail begins near the Guam Power Authority substation WBP-2, just north of Umatac Bay.Fouha Bay itself holds thousands of years of history and is considered a spiritually powerful site by the Chamorro people. Archaeological artifacts line the bay, testaments to the vibrant ancient Chamorro presence. Even today, Fouha Rock remains an important part of Chamorro culture, with many keeping the traditions alive through pilgrimage, song, dance, and offerings. Visitors are encouraged to respect the cultural significance of the site and the natural environment.
