Sagan Kotturan Chamoru: A Living Tapestry of Chamorro Culture

Sagan Kotturan Chamoru, meaning Chamorro Cultural Center, is a nine-acre community-based art and cultural center dedicated to promoting, preserving, and perpetuating the Chamorro culture. Located in Oka, Tamuning, just up the hill from the Hilton Guam Resort & Spa in Tumon, the center offers an immersive experience into the heart of Guam's indigenous heritage. The center comprises eight houses, each dedicated to a unique facet of Chamorro culture, including carving, weaving, dancing, and chanting. Visitors can witness live demonstrations by local artisans, participate in workshops to learn basic Chamorro skills, and explore exhibits showcasing fascinating artifacts that date back thousands of years.
