Getting There

Tuk-Tuk
From Antigua Guatemala, head to the main square (Parque Central). Look for tuk-tuk drivers waiting near the square. Inform the driver that you want to go to El Pacaya. The ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. The tuk-tuk will take you to the base of the volcano, where you will need to pay a small fee for entrance. There are usually guides available at the entrance if you wish to hire one.

At the central bus station in Antigua, look for the shared shuttle services heading towards San Vicente Pacaya. Ask for a shuttle that goes directly to the base of El Pacaya.
